Submission Terms

1. What you're paying for

The submission fee, shown at checkout before you pay, covers AppDeas reviewing your idea. It does not guarantee selection, a response by any specific date, or any right to have your idea built. The fee is non-refundable once paid, regardless of whether your idea is selected.

2. Ownership of your idea before selection

You retain ownership of any idea you submit. Submitting an idea does not transfer any rights to AppDeas. If your idea is not selected, AppDeas will not build, use, license, or share it.

3. Duplicate submissions

Ideas are credited to the earliest submission we receive. If your submission substantially duplicates an idea already submitted by someone else, your submission will not be selected and no equity or other rights arise from it. AppDeas determines in good faith whether two submissions substantially duplicate each other. Distinct execution details, target audiences, or business models can distinguish ideas in the same general space.

4. What happens if your idea is selected

If AppDeas selects your idea, AppDeas will fund the design, development, deployment, and marketing of a resulting product or company (the "Venture"). In exchange:

• You will receive 30% equity in the Venture. The specific structure, including entity type and the mechanics of your ownership, is documented in a separate agreement signed individually with you at the time of selection.
• AppDeas will retain the remaining 70% equity in the Venture.
• AppDeas will have sole discretion over product, engineering, deployment, and marketing decisions unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Selection is conditional on both parties signing that individual agreement. If you decline to sign, AppDeas will not proceed with building your idea and no rights transfer in either direction.

5. No guarantee of outcome

Selection is not a guarantee of profitability, of a specific timeline, or that the Venture will launch at all. AppDeas will make good-faith efforts to build and market selected ideas but does not promise any particular result.

6. Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. AppDeas does not store your card details. Charges are final and non-refundable once your submission is received.

7. Confidentiality

AppDeas does not disclose unselected submissions to third parties and does not use them for any purpose other than review. Submissions are stored securely and are accessible only to AppDeas for review purposes.

8. Eligibility

You must have the right to submit the idea you're submitting. In particular, do not submit ideas you are contractually restricted from sharing, such as ideas covered by an employer's intellectual property agreement or a confidentiality obligation to someone else. By submitting, you confirm the idea is yours to share.

9. Changes to these terms

AppDeas may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your submission applies to that submission.
